Teotihuacan: 25 miles from Mexico City

In Teotihuacan you will enjoy of zones where there are many groups that offer you to realize tours of the archaeological area in bicycle. The Museum of the Site Place of the Culture Teotihuacana, to the south of the Pyramid of the Sol, shelters interesting samples of the work in obsidian, ceramics, shell and bone elaborated by the former inhabitants of the City of the Gods. To admire the art teotihuacano, the Museum of the Murals Teotihuacanos "Beatriz de la Fuente", to a side of the Pyramid of the Moon, exhibits the murals recovered throughout more than one century of excavations in the archaeological zone. 

In Teotihuacan, the enclosure opens its doors to the public from Monday until Sunday from 10:00 to 18:00 hours. Every Sunday the entry is free. Out of the archaeological zone, you can visit the Museum Manuel Gamio that has many rooms with temporary exhibitions, an auditor, a library and a planoteca that allows to consult more than 2000 planes and archaeological projects. This place is located in the Center of Studies Teotihuacanos, a place dedicated to the diffusion of the culture teotihuacana. Also, in the village of The Purification, you can visit the community Museum Quetzalpápalotl, a relatively new place that invites the visitors to enter in the universe teotihuacano and know closely the most ancient past of the community up to the contemporary epoch. Its name was chosen inspired by Quetzalpápalotl' Temple, in the archaeological zone, which means "beautiful butterfly".
