Mexico City walking in a day

Mexico City is one of the cities most beautiful in the world. Also, is a very old place with many sites to know. Due to its big size, the tourists can have difficulties to decide what places to visit. Here you can find the Plaza of the Constitution in the heart of the city and in the center of the capital of the country. This place is the biggest public square of the world. In the center of the square always there is something to do like to enjoy of indigenous dances and cultural events, concerts of music and political protests. Always, there are souvenirs that sell also. The Plaza, located in a stop of meter (underground) and also is surrounded by principal places of the city as the Metropolitan Cathedral, National Palace and Major Temple. You will find the Palace of Fine arts, the Latin-American Tower and Park of the Alameda. This is one of the most beautiful travel that you can do with your friends or your family.



Mexico city walking in a day have for you the Metropolitan cathedral, that is one of the biggest cathedrals in the city and has many architectural styles. Many of the materials used to construct the cathedral came from the destroyed Aztec temple that was in the same place. If you take a walk in the cathedral, you will see many religious exhibitions and examples of its architecture. If you are lucky you will listen the great organ of pipes or the bells of the cathedral. Also, you will find the archaeological ruins of the Aztecs called “Templo Mayor”, dedicated to the Aztec gods of Tláloc (god of the rain) and Huitzilopochtli (god of the war). This place was the principal temple and the focal point of the great centre of Tenochtitlan. Many of the materials of the temple were used by the Spanish to construct the adjacent Metropolitan Cathedral. The Palace of Fine Arts is one of the best theatres of the city. The interior of this place hace many murals of Rivera, Orozco, Siqueiros and Tamayo. 

In Mexico city, you will enjoy of the National Museum of Anthropology that is considered one of the big museums of the world and it has maybe the major world collection of pre-Columbian art. The museum is enormous and represent each one of the pre-Columbian cultures, with rooms and galleries dedicated to the national people. The central court is very famous for its great umbrella of concrete squared and for its rooms of exhibition that include Olmec art, Maya art and all the civilizations Aztec. Also, you can not leave without to visit Xochimilco, that is in the south part of the city, these they are the last remains of the series of lakes that once were here in the epoch of the Aztecs. The area have now a series of channels, where the visitors can walk in beautiful gondolas with brilliant colors. The channels are everything what stays of the chinampas (floating gardens), the type of agriculture developed by the Aztecs.
